{"id":1171,"date":"2014-06-10T12:38:32","date_gmt":"2014-06-10T12:38:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sealinksproject.com\/?p=1171"},"modified":"2014-06-10T12:46:36","modified_gmt":"2014-06-10T12:46:36","slug":"acacia-workshop-sealinks-east-african-environmental-datasets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sealinksproject.com\/?p=1171","title":{"rendered":"ACACIA Workshop: Environmental transition of the Iron Age in Africa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Professor Michael Petraglia of the University of Oxford will present a talk by the Sealinks team at the first workshop of the ACACIA Project, which will be held at the Institute of Archaeology, University College London, 17-19 June, 2014. \u00a0The talk, entitled &#8220;<span style=\"font-size: small;\">Sealinks\u00a0Project Research in East Africa:\u00a0Environmental and Archaeological Datasets&#8221; is by\u00a0<\/span>Michael Petraglia, Alison Crowther, Ceri Shipton, Nikos Kourampas, Mary Prendergast, Tom White, Patrick Faulkner, Patrick Roberts, Dorian Fuller, Richard Jennings and Nicole Boivin. \u00a0The workshop, on &#8220;The environmental transition of the Iron Age in Africa&#8217;, is a\u00a0project kick-off workshop that will bring together experts on the history of human and\u00a0environmental change in Africa.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The workshop is supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation through the grant\u00a0ACACIA, Jed O. Kaplan, Basil Davis, and Carsten Lemmen, PIs, and the UCL Institute of\u00a0Archaeology\u2019s ComPAg project. The workshop will also support the activities of at least\u00a0three current European Research Council Projects: COEVOLVE (PI Jed O.
