Ashmolean gallery 2
The Sealinks Project is collaborating with the Ashmolean Museum to offer various activities and events on Thursday 7 November, including gallery tours and an evening lecture series.  The event is linked to the Proto-Globalisation in the Indian Ocean Conference, which is welcoming 100 scholars and students from around the world for 3 days of presentations, discussions and debates.  The Ashmolean Museum events offer interested members of the public the opportunity to engage with the latest ideas about the Indian Ocean and the world’s first steps towards globalisation.  Gallery talks will also provide an opportunity to go behind the scenes of the museum for a closer look at objects.
